Having been a scientist in my entire life, I found that being an artist made me more spontaneous and freer in expressing my feeling and images that I carry in my head. Spontaneity in science is rare. Sometimes, when one is not actively thinking about the subject, something triggers an “Ah ha” moment. However, one has been thinking and working about the subject for a long time.
Late in my life, I am trying different outlets– music and art. Music demands disciplined practice. Perhaps that is why I like music. Art, seems to be different. Maybe, I can carry my love for spontaneity and experimenting new things for my transition from science to painting.
